Please submit your best work to be available for exhibition for Semester One, 2021. Students need to complete all details of the application form.

1. VCE Art, Studio Arts and Visual Communication Design students Unit 1- 4 can submit up to 5 photographs per application that represent the resolution of the student’s ideas as represented in their body of work.

3. Students need to also photograph two pages of their folio or visual diary. (The folio/visual diary will be available for school bookings and not for the general public.)

3. Label each photo on the back with applicant’s name and title of work and mark with an arrow indicating the top of image if unclear. Selection can depend on good photographs.

4. Submit digital photography, film, performance, multimedia or web pages online with the application, or you can post in your application with hardcopy images.

5. For screen-based works in hard copy form please write applicant’s name on each USB. Students should have copyright clearance for non-original material used. Please submit in a format that can be viewed on a PC or Mac and can be opened and viewed easily. (See copyright information below).

6. Provide a home/personal email for each application, not a school email.

Copyright clearance: Work submitted to SAM that does not have copyright clearance for the use of non-original material cannot be considered for exhibition or screening. This includes audio material, video clips, images from websites and images from publications including logos. While works produced and submitted for school assessment do not contravene copyright legislation, once they are displayed in or published for SAM events their legal status changes. Applicants should seek clearance for all non-original material used particularly in the case of music for films and multimedia.
